Homeopathy: Healthcare worth paying for!

If you have ever consulted with a homeopath you know that homeopathy is not covered by the provincial healthcare system as conventional western medicine is.  Because it is not funded by the government, homeopathy would therefore be considered privatized medicine as opposed to socialized medicine.

Other modalities that also fall into this category are basically everything outside of conventional medicine – what would normally be considered complimentary or alternative.  Things like Chiropractic, Massage, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbalism and Naturopathy to name a few.

Some of these modalities are covered, to some extent, by extended medical insurance plans.  However, not everyone has an extended medical plan, and some plans are very restricted in what and how much they cover for reimbursement.

Here in Canada we are accustomed to socialized medicine which we access for free so paying for healthcare is, for most people, outside their paradigm and/or their budget.  The sad part is that these types healthcare that a lot of people dismiss because they are considered complementary or alternative, and hesitate to pay for, are sometimes the best at prevention of disease and highly effective at helping people with acute or chronic diseases.

Homeopathy is a great option for many reasons and I have listed the top ten here https://www.trinityhomeopathyclinic.com/blog-1/10-reasons-to-choosenbsphomeopathy

There are other countries that have adopted homeopathy into their medical system including Brazil, Chile, India, Mexico, Pakistan, and Switzerland. [1]  These countries recognize the value of homeopathy in their healthcare systems and how it contributes to the health of their citizens as well as the savings it provides to their governments.

Every person is responsible for their own health and as an individual your health should not be determined by insurance companies or governments.  Spending money for your health is never a bad investment or a waste of money because without your health, life can be very difficult.

Ask yourself…

What is stopping me from enjoying the things I love?

What will my level of health be 5, 10 or 20 years from now?

What can I do to optimize my health and well-being today to help prevent problems from arising in the future?

Homeopathy is a great option because the remedies are not expensive and usually a homeopath will see you for a follow up appointment, on average, every 4 to 6 weeks.  Since it also considers the individual as a whole the goal of treatment is to help resolve all the symptoms which are seen as one expression of the dis-ease of the individual.

This makes homeopathy a more efficient system of medicine with one health professional addressing your issues with one medicine instead of being “pieced-out” to specialists with many doctors, many appointments and many drugs.

The integration of homeopathy into healthcare makes it possible to reduce both the number of drug prescriptions and the consumption of these medicines, and could contribute to a reduction in healthcare costs:

NOTE: Homeopaths do not offer to diagnose or treat any disease or condition other than to perceive the state of the patient and to find a remedy that is determined to most closely match that state based on the Law of Similars. Regardless of what the disease is called, homeopaths do not offer to treat it. Nor do we offer advice regarding the treatment prescribed by others. The homeopath’s only practice objective is to stimulate the vital force to maximize the health of the patient. Patients are encouraged to maintain their relationship with their medical doctor.
