“Never well since…”
There is consideration in homeopathy of what is called a “never well since…” event. What this means is that there was a point in a person’s life where something happened and that was the point when their symptoms started or their health started to decline.
Not every person will have a “never well since” event that contributed to their symptoms, but if you do this can be a very important piece of information for your homeopath.
It is usually a very strong or memorable event that will be recalled easily as the time when things changed for that person. Such an event may be something like the death of a loved one, a strong fright, embarrassment or shock. But, it doesn’t have to be an emotional event – it can also be from something physical such as influenza, mononucleosis or a bodily injury.
For most healthy people the vital force can easily adjust to these types of events and recover back to normal. But, when the person has a susceptibility to something or the event is very strong, it may be hard to overcome and then the person cannot fully recover. This is when the vital force must adapt to being out of balance and this creates dis-ease.
Your homeopath will take a complete history and this “never well since” event will be taken into account in finding a remedy that will stimulate the vital force to overcome the negative impact that this event has had on your system in order to restore homeostasis and start the healing process.
